In response to the Centre’s decision denying the exemption for Tamil Nadu from NEET medical admission test, the opposition parties in the State have reportedly announced a demonstration on August 24 condemning the Centre and State for inaction. Opposition parties including DMK, Congress, Communist parties and VCK, are participating in the demonstration. Notably, the Supreme Court also reportedly asked the State government to start counselling for MBBS and BDS seats based on the NEET merit list and complete the process by September 4.
