A younger gaur killed a male Indian gaur in Arignar Anna Zoological park, Vandalur on Sunday. Reportedly when the staff was cleaning the enclosure, they saw the fight breaking out between the gaurs. The staff allegedly intervened and took the injured Indian gaur to the zoo hospital immediately, but the gaur was overwhelmed and died. Reports state that there are 20 gaurs in the enclosure and the younger gaur had already killed an another gaur in 2011.
