A 15-year-old boy was accidentally killed when the bullet from his father's rifle hit his head on Tuesday night on the outskirts of Trichy reportedly. The father of the deceased was an ex-serviceman and was provided with a rifle. According to media reports, the parents claim that this could have happened when the boy was cleaning the rifle and would have accidentally touched the trigger which led to his death. The police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation.
