The German International school in Chennai won an award from PETA for its decision on serving only vegan food on the school campus. Reportedly the school Principal mentioned in the school newsletter that this change was due to school commitments to the environment. According to reports, The German International School is the first school in India to come up with the process of Vegan food, and the CEO of PETA said that this school is setting a perfect example on how to conserve the environment.
