The Sri Lankan cricket team has reportedly been declared dead by the Island newspaper after the team’s defeat against Bangladesh in the second Test at Colombo. According to reports, the newspaper gave a headline, reading “RIP Sri Lanka” and contained an obituary notice, reading “In affectionate remembrance of Sri Lankan cricket which died at the Oval on 19, March 2017.”
