More than 500 members of Tamil Nadu Nutritious Meal Employees’ Association were arrested at Tirunelveli Junction on Tuesday for staging a road roko. In neighbouring Kanniyakumari, the police arrested around 240 protesters. Over 500 members were also arrested in Thoothukudi. The members were staging a protest for various demands.
