A study by Indian Ophthalmologists has revealed that smoking is one of the major reasons behind the high number of glaucoma cases in India. Other than glaucoma, smoking is also attributed to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The study also suggests that passive smokers are also prone to develop AMD.
