The Supreme Court on Monday reportedly supported a Public Interest Litigation seeking to impose a lifetime ban on politicians convicted of crime from the legislature, executive, and judiciary. The Election Commission also reportedly filed an affidavit in the apex court stating it endorses the relevant portions of the PIL, which is filed by advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay.
