PM Modi announces flights between Colombo, Varanasi

PM Modi on Friday announced that Air India would reportedly operate direct flights between Colombo and Varanasi starting from August. Addressing the Indian-origin Tamils at the International Vesak Day celebrations, Modi said, "My Tamil brothers and sisters will also be able to visit Varanasi, the land of Kashi Viswanath." Notably, Varanasi is Modi's Lok Sabha constituency.
