Afghan officials on Saturday revealed that over 90 IS militants were killed in the MOAB airstrike conducted by the US in Afghanistan. Notably, the US for the first time released the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, known as the mother of all bombs at IS occupied regions in Afghan’s Nangarhar province on Thursday. Meanwhile, many have criticised the use of Afghanistan as a testing ground for the weapon, and against a militant group that is not considered a threat as the resurgent Taliban.
