According to reports, a landslide smashed through a mountain village in the Sichuan province in China on Saturday. Initial reports suggest that the landslide has swallowed 40 homes and 140 people. Notably, the landslide has also blocked two kilometre stretch of a river and 1.6 kilometres of road. A rescue operation has been commissioned. More details are awaited.
