Indian-origin professor becomes Dean of MIT

According to reports, an Indian-origin Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been named the Dean of MIT’s school of Engineering. The Professor, Anantha P Chandrakasan, was the Head of Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the University’s largest academic department, will take over as Dean from July 1. Notably, Chandrakasan was born in Chennai and moved to the USA while he was in high school.
