Smartphone maker Samsung Electronics CEO Kwon Oh-Hyun on Friday said the fires in the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones was a failure that arose from trying new technology. He also reportedly apologised to shareholders for the fires in the smartphones. Samsung's investigation had revealed two battery issues caused explosions in the phone.
