The sun blasts the Earth with energy every day. German scientists have assembled an artificial sun, composed of the largest collection of high-powered spotlights in the world, and are about to turn it on in the name of science. Notably, the test aims to produce light about 10,000 times stronger than natural sunlight hitting Earth.
