New bridge constructed in record time of 165 days: Maharashtra

Maharashtra government has achieved a record by rebuilding the British-era bridge in a period of 165 days which was collapsed last year due to rain. The new bridge, built at the cost of ₹35.77 crore, has lighting arrangement and flood alarm system. Notably, the fall of the old Masonry Arch Bridge on Savitri and Kal river had killed at least 29 people.
