BJP National President Amit Shah on Monday announced that Ram Nath Kovind, the Governor of Bihar will be PM Modi-led NDA’s candidate for the upcoming Presidential elections. Further, Shah also added that PM Narendra Modi has talked to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh to apprise them of the decision. The election to India's top post is scheduled to take place on July 17.
