Angad Gupta, a 20-year-old resident of Sita Sharan colony in Subzi Mandi area of Delhi, died after he was allegedly assaulted with a cricket bat. Gupta was passing through the area when a cricket ball accidentally hit him. Enraged at the youths who were playing cricket, Gupta slapped a juvenile. The same evening, when Gupta was on his way to his maternal uncle's home, he was attacked with a cricket bat on the neck by two juveniles with whom he had an argument earlier in the day. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The two juveniles were arrested.
