Kansas declares March 16 as 'Indian-American Appreciation Day'

The US state of Kansas has reportedly recognised March 16 as 'Indian-American Appreciation Day'. The day was recognised as a remuneration honour to Srinivas Kuchibhotla, the Indian techie who was killed last month in a racially-motivated hate crime. Announcing the decision, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback said: "The unique contribution of Indian community has made Kansas a better place".
