New Zealand off-spinner Jeetan Patel announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday. Patel refused any public interactions to avoid any fuss surrounding his decision. Patel commented that he had sincerely enjoyed his comeback stint but strongly believes that it is about time for both him and the New Zealand team to move on. Notably, New Zealand’s wicketkeeper-batsman Luke Ronchi also announced his retirement few earlier that day as well.
