Indian air carriers set to fly more than 800 new planes

Airline carriers like SpiceJet, IndiGo, GoAir and Jet Airways have planned or ordered for over 800 new planes. A good number of smaller aircraft are expected to enter the Indian aviation market that has been seeing double-digit growth. India’s domestic air passenger traffic stood at 100 million in 2016, while Indian carriers presently operate nearly 500 aircraft, say reports.
