India will have its own 'GPS' in early 2018

According to reports, ISRO is planning to start the operation of Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System in early 2018. This will commence the operation of the country's own 'GPS'. If successful, this would make India part of an elite group of countries that have their own positioning system. Notably, the ISRO has spent ₹1,420 crore on building and setting up seven IRNSS satellites in space.
