In a bid to protest against the BJP government’s new rules over cattle slaughter, Kerala’s Youth Congress reportedly conducted beef fests in over 300 places in Kannur on Sunday. Further, in what can be seen as an act of cruelty, the Youth Congress led by Rijil Makkutty went one up by slaughtering a live cow in public. Reportedly, a man was seen slashing the cattle’s neck, before which Rijil said, The government’s decision is an act of cruelty against a large population. To oppose this we will slaughter cattle in public, and we will distribute the meat to the public.”
