In a case related to the disappearance of JNU student Najeeb Ahmad, the Delhi High Court, on a plea by the student’s mother, reportedly transferred on Tuesday the investigation to the CBI from the police with immediate effect. The probe would be supervised by an officer, not less than the rank of a DIG, the court reportedly said. The matter will be taken up next on July 17.
