The Central government on Friday reportedly announced an immediate measure to curb the menace of online child abuse. The government has formed an Inter-Ministerial Committee, based on the consultations of this committee, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued orders under section 79(2) (c) of the Information Technology Act 2000. Under this law, the Internet Service Providers shall be required to adopt and implement the Internet Watch Foundation Resources by 31st July 2017.
