Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday reportedly announced Former West Bengal governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi as the candidate for Vice President’s post. Notably, Eighteen opposition parties joined the Congress meeting to discuss the upcoming vice presidential election. After the announcement, candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi said, "We have spoken to Gopalkrishna Gandhi. He has agreed to be the opposition’s candidate for vice president."
