Google on Saturday announced that its 'virtual assistant' won't be coming to the tablet devices. It’s not clear why Google has decided to restrict Assistant to just smartphones, but this could change later on. Google Assistant was introduced as an exclusive to the Pixel smartphones in October 2016. It is currently available to smartphones running on Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat.
