Two Dalit communities from Santhaiyur village in Madurai have alleged that a specific community had constructed a wall in a poramboke land around a temple to deny access to them. Notably, the community in question had earlier tried to fence the same temple in 2012 and was forced to remove the fence after the Dalit community in the village voiced opposition.
