A trial court has reportedly criticized the final investigation report of the Crime Branch CID of the Tamil Nadu police on the IPL betting and match-fixing scam of 2013, which led to a two-year ban on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals from the IPL. The court pointed to the lapses in the report and had ordered further investigation to unearth facts in the case. Notably, the Justice R.M. Lodha Committee was appointed by the Supreme Court following the scam.
