A man waiting for his friend arriving from a Gulf nation was arrested after the customs officials found messages in his WhatsApp that could incite hatred between two groups of communities. The Chennai city police registered a sedition case against the man. However, he was later released on bail Reportedly, the messages “invited youngsters to gather at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for a flash protest”, and also contained a picture of a woman stamping her foot on the Quran.
