According to reports, taxi drivers in Manali are charging up to Rs 15,000 to travel a mere distance of 70km. Reports say the actual fare to visit Marhi, the snowpoint of Manali, 34km from Manali, is between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. Vehicles, depending on their seating capacity, charge from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. The taxi drivers reportedly say most of the tourists are happily paying the amount without any complaint.
