According to Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has been ranked as India’s top university surpassing the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru. IIT Delhi has been placed at rank 172, while IIT Bombay at rank 179, became India’s second best university. Meanwhile, IISc stayed at rank no 190, marking the first time where three Indian universities featured in the top 200.
