18 elephants dies due to drought: Kerala

According to TOI reports, At least 18 wild elephants died in the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary in the last four months. As the Kerala state is going through a severe drought, the wildlife in the state has been affected. The Kerala government has taken many steps to provide water to the wildlife in the sanctuaries. Notably, Apart from Wayanad, many other forest areas in Southern Kerala are also reporting a significant number of elephant deaths.
