In a forthcoming film called Veeranna, in which sitting DMK MLA, Napoleon has a double role, yesteryear star Chemmeen Sheela plays the role of a rural Panchayat Board chief. In one of the scenes, Vadivelu and Napoleon had to speak out against the leadership of the chief. Vadivelu refused to act in the scene saying that Napoleon’s political leanings and the apparent snipe at the lady would lead to unnecessary bitterness. Finally, the scene was filmed with Napoleon alone mouthing the lines. Kalanidhi is the director of the movie.
