releases may not hit the marquee from
April 3rd, if the multiplexes do not
agree to share the revenues garnered
at the box office with the distributors.
The dispute between the distributors
and the multiplex owners has been
going on for sometime with no proper
solution. Some of the top names in
the industry, including Mahesh Bhatt,
Yash Chopra, UTV Motion Pictures,
Eros International, Indian Film Company,
FOX, Disney, Warner Bros and Sony
Entertainment Pictures have been backing
the distributors in this issue. |
