The love guru and his earnest student
By Behindwoods News Bureau.
July 10, 2007
The big hit combination of Bollywood is coming back in two weeks time to tickle everyone’s ribs. Director David Dhawan is doing what he does best, directing out and out comedy films with his favorite heroes in the lead. His favorites include Salman Khan and Govinda and this time he has both of them together on screen and the results we are sure will be hilarious. Govinda and Salman share the screen in the soon to be released Partner.
Salman Khan
The movie is all about two men, one who always knows how to get on with girls and the other who can’t face a girl without going weak in his knees. Partner is about how the expert teaches the novice the nuances of making a girl do your bidding.

Salman Khan, as expected plays the playboy (must be a cakewalk for him) who has successfully scripted the love stories of many men who were at loss when it came to talking to girls. His latest student is Govinda and this student wants to learn really fast before someone else takes away his sweetheart. The movie has Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta playing the female leads and the biggest surprise of the movie is that Katrina is paired opposite Govinda, not Salman. The director got to have guts to do that.

The twist in the tale comes when Govinda learns enough from Salman to win over Katrina and at the same time Salman finds the love of his life in Lara Dutta. But the man who had helped so many hapless souls on their way to success in their love stories seems to be failing when it comes to his own story. That’s where the story really takes off. The movie is said to be inspired by the Will Smith’s Hit comedy Hitch. The USP of the film however is the screen chemistry between Salman and Govinda, a combination that has the potential to bring the house down. After all, both of them are experts in comedy in their own right. Govinda’s comic flick, Bhaagam Bhag had been a hit while Salman’s cool dude performance in No Entry is still fresh in memory. Get ready to have a great time.
