While the venue for the International
Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2011
has been declared, the year 2010
still remains under wraps. It was
announced yesterday that the IIFA
2011 will be held in Toronto, Canada,
by the IIFA Advisory Board. The
event will be held from June 16
to 19 in 2011.
Those present during the announcement
were Vivek Oberoi, Celina Jaitely,
Priyanka Chopra, Ramesh Sippy and
Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty.
The IIFA’s brand ambassador
Amitabh Bachchan, in a written message
said, “Toronto is a city of
diverse and various cultures, it
offers a great experience. I'm extremely
excited that the North American
premier of the IIFA weekend of 2011
will be held in Ontario.”
