He fitted the role of the underdog turning out as the prince charming to theT. Like his mentor, he used comedy to spin his heartwarming stories. His ventures like Kabaddi, Kabaddi and Gopala, Gopala did not do well because the comedy bordered on vulgarity. After being in the wilderness for sometime, he paired with Prashanth in London in a comedy role. Now, he is attempting a second round of screen venture as hero-director of Mr. Pandi.
