ARAVINDA SAMETHA VEERA RAGHAVA MOVIE REVIEW CLICK TO RATE THE MOVIE

Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is one of the eagerly awaited films of the season. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film is set against the Rayalaseema backdrop with an emotional plot. A knife-wielding Jr NTR, flaunting his 6-pack abs and blood-stained pants - an electrifying first look followed by a kick-ass trailer set huge expectations for this action flick.

A never ending 30- year family feud leads to the death of Raghava Reddy’s (Jr NTR) father. Being the last surviving male in the family, will Raghava resort to revenge for his dad’s death or fight for peace. Either way, it is going to be a tough battle ahead for this angry young Raghava. Jagapathi Babu who plays the baddie is terrifying and the battle between good and evil is captured brilliantly in an emotional way. It is more sentimental than action-packed, but the screenplay doesn’t dip much in the first half.

First 20 minutes will be a delight to the fans with some superb stunt choreography by Ram-Laxman. There aren’t many stunt blocks but the few shown on display are captivating. Few dramatic, but meaningful dialogues and JR NTR’s screen presence makes us glued to the screen, despite most scenes are nothing much than mere conversations. A breezy love track, though might feel cheesy to some, works well for the script. That, in fact, comes as a relief to an otherwise intense script.

The major strength is the emotions, and for that, you need some great acting. There is no question that Jr NTR gives the most expressive and deep-felt performance on the big screen. The film also offers a few good mass scenes but they are a bit scarce and don't come at frequent intervals. One might feel that Trivikram could have gone a step forward and tightened the screenplay. The placement of all the songs leaves a lot to be desired. But dancer NTR sparkles effortlessly in all these songs.

Aravinda Sametha doesn't engage consistently in the second half as some sizzling moments are interspersed with moments of restlessness. The length of the movie is another drawback. Though the climax might seem a bit conventional, it is pretty much the perfect way to end this violence drama. SS Thaman, as usual, adds a lot of strength through his BGM score. PS Vinod provides solid work with the visuals, the lighting patterns, and the angles.
