Cheran to direct Simbu?

Potugadu, the Telugu film that had Manchu Manoj in the lead will be remade in Tamil. It is being said that Simbu is likely to take up the honours of playing the lead in the movie. Sirisha Sridhar, the producer of the Telugu version has expressed his interest in remaking the movie in Tamil with Simbu in the lead.

The producer has expressed his interest in Director Cheran to helm the project. K.P Jegannath, the director who created Raman Thediya Seethai is also in the front line to take up the directorial responsibilities. However an official confirmation is yet to be received.

Interstingly, Simbu, a good friend of Manchu Manoj, had sung a song in the Telugu film. Potugadu has four love stories which were played by the likes of Sakshi Chowdary, Simran Kaur, Anu Priya and Rechal. It would be interesting to know the four leading ladies who would be playing opposite Simbu. Stay tuned.
