Shabir is a reality music show winner from 2005 and hailing from Singapore he has been producing some excellent music of late especially. He did also compose music for the movie Sagaa which became a hit. He has been a regular on my lists with Aayizhai and Ezhuvom. Here he picks up one of the most famous Indian poets Subramanya Bharathi’s works and creates a very touching track. He has also collaborated with some great talents from Singapore who call themselves the “Teng Ensemble”. More than anything the track soars high from the excellent instrumental arrangements and obviously the lyrics of the great poet. Hats off to Shabir for a wonderful musical production which combines global musical talent and also gives life to the old poems of Mahakavi.
