Shadow & Light are a couple comprising of Anindo Bose and Pavithra Chari, with the former responsible for mixing, recording and mastering while Pavithra is the person behind the amazing vocals and lyrics. Pavithra was trained by Shuba Mudgal and she is equally good at Hindustani and Carnatic genres. The couple have made albums comprising of songs in Tamil, English and Hindi and here they collaborate with Haricharan who is an exponent himself. The song begins with the delightful keys and Pavithra’s voice engulfing our senses. The interlude is a just a harmony with some electronic musical solo, and then Haricharan opens with the charanam with his unmistakable and reverberating vocals. Set in Darbari Kannada the melody is uplifting with both lead singers singing in unison. We then have a minor charanam or a just variation of the Pallavi. All this adds to the immense variations in the song. The track scores very high on almost all aspects and we hope more singles or even an EP get released by the Trio in tamil.
