49 O MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

49 O is a film that is much looked out for, for one main reason- Goundamani. The comedy legend returns to where he belongs, the silver screen.

 

The film is directed by Arokkiya Das, who had worked with Gautham Menon and comes with a tagline - Love for the soil that fed us.

 

49 O is a film that is said to stress the importance of farming.

 

Talking about his film, Arokkiya Das says, “I hail from a rural back ground and I grew in an atmosphere where I found the survival of a farmer who gives all he has got is always low. He is either weaker or the weakest in the social and economical link. Is it the economy that is blocking the growth of agriculture or is it the society that is turning blind to the hand that feeds or is it the political system that drags this indispensable profession into dire straits, has been my question. I had chosen to look at this issue and used humor as the form of attack. In my opinion sarcastic humor and a sharp tongue is good enough and stronger than a mighty army. In 49 O the wit is the weapon and Goundamani sir is the crusader”.

 

With Goundamani at the helm of affairs, 49O sounds quite promising!
