Thenmozhi is ready with 1000 kisses

The press meet of Aayiram Muthangaludan Themnmozhi was held yesterday in Chennai. The movie has been directed by Shanmugaraj, who was earlier associated with Cheran as first assistant for movies like Autograph and Thavamai Thavamirundhu. He said that the movie will talk about love and life like no movie in the world has ever done before. The movie breaks love down into five stages and gives the perfect formula to emerge successful in all these five stages.

The movie has been made entirely with new faces, including a lot of technicians. A total of 71 people have made their debut through this movie. The making of this movie was a unique process. The director said that the entire crew of the movie underwent a 372 days workshop before commencing the actual shoot of the movie. The workshop was held in Thiruvannamalai. It must be the first occasion in Tamil cinema when such a lengthy workshop was held for a movie. The director said that this preparation helped them wrap the actual shooting up in a very short time.

Speaking at the function Cheran said that he had seen the movie and it was indeed a unique experience. He added that he was not saying this as an obligation towards his former assistant. Shifting focus towards the FEFSI-Producer’s Council issue, he said that the media was wrongly portraying that there was a rift between him and Ameer. He said that both of them were trying to work towards the same goal, a peaceful resolution. However, he always chose to go the quiet and calm way like in his films; Ameer was a bit more aggressive and forthright with his opinions, like in his movies. The only point where they differed was whether the new wage structures should apply for low budget films. Cheran said that the new wage structure would be untenable for low budget films that had extended shooting schedules. There is no rift between us, he repeated. In fact, after watching this movie, Cheran said that he had informed Ameer first and asked him to watch it too.

Ameer spoke and said that after the success of Paruthiveeran, a budding director had approached him with a story which he had liked very much but was unable to produce it at that time. However, he was happy that the story had now come out as ‘Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi’ He also added that he was very happy after seeing the final product of the story.

Music for the movie has been scored by Taj Noor of Vamsam fame. A couple of songs were screened at the meet; one of which, ‘Palodu Then kalantha’ captured the eye with its very unique picturisation; perhaps one of its kind in Tamil cinema. A trailer was also screened which gave everyone hopes of a good movie in the offing.
