WHY MAKING OF RRR WAS MORE DEMANDING THAN BAAHUBALI - REASON REVEALED!

DOP Senthil Kumar ISC is one of the top cinematographers, and he has worked with Rajamouli in most of his projects such as Yamadonga, Magadheera, Eega, Bahubali, till the latest RRR. In an exclusive conversation with Behindwoods, Senthil Kumar talks about the movie and more.

About working with SS Rajamouli, Senthil said, “Mostly I have worked with Rajamouli sir. When we work, we both know what we want, and finally it's about the output. So if he says something, and if I feel like I can change something, it is that I have the liberty to express my option - and he takes the suggestion if it's good. Finally, it's not about mine or his suggestion, it's what is good for the film."

About working in Bahubali, Senthil conveyed what he first loved about the film, “It's going to be a visual film - that's what Rajamouli said to me... It was really exciting to hear. It was a thapas - a complete dedication of 5 years. I’m thankful that every minute of it was worth it.”

Senthil Kumar also spoke about the RRR movie, “The film is about two of India's freedom fighters. It's a pre-independence era film. This is also a period film but not like Bahubali - a more realistic kind of period film. Therefore, the challenge here is how authentically we can present the movie, because people will know how India was during that time. That’s why the movie is more challenging than Bahubali. But what we can surely say that the movie will exceed audience expectations just as every Rajamouli movie, and you can expect unbelievable performances from all the cast members.”
