The much-awaited Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5 has kickstarted finally after lots of wait and expectations. The show was launched in a grand manner on October 3 and this season like always retained actor and politician Kamal Haasan as the host for the fifth time.

The 18 contestants who have participated in this reality show are Isaivani, Raju Jeyamohan, Madhumitha, Abishek Raaja, Namitha Marimuthu, Priyanka Deshpande, Abhinay Vaddi, Chinna Ponnu, Pavani Reddy, Nadia Chang, Varun, Imman Annachi, Iykki Berry, Sruthi Jeyadevan, Akshara Reddy, Thamarai Selvi, Ciby Chandran and Niroop Nandakumar.

Of which, it is already a known fact that Raju is a close friend of Kavin, who rose to more fame through his Bigg Boss Tamil 3 stint. Raju has acted along with Kavin in Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal and also in the movie - Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma.
