"MY HUSBAND DIED...": PAVANI REDDY GETS EMOTIONAL IN BIGG BOSS TAMIL 5 LAUNCH - WHAT HAPPENED?

For season 5, the makers have made the house more vibrant and royal. 'Five’ is the running theme in the house and the classic 'jail' that housed contestants was also missing this time in its usual spot. Instead, the swimming pool is changed into a bunker jail. This season also has audience viewing the show, an important aspect that was scrapped last time because of the raging coronavirus pandemic.

Gaana Singer Isaivani, Vijay TV serial actor Raju Jeyamohan, costume designer Mathumitha, transgender beauty queen Namitha Marimuthu, YouTuber and movie reviewer Abishek Raja, TV anchor Priyanka Deshpande, Actor and Agriculturist Abhinay Vaddi, Model and Actress Pavni Reddy, folk singer Chinna Ponnu, model and social media star Nadia Chang, Actor Varun, TV anchor Imman Annachi, model and basketball player Suruthi, model and beauty pageant winner Akshara Reddy, singer-songwriter Iykki Berry, folk singer Thamarai Selvi, Actor Ciby Chandran and entrepreneur-cum-acting aspirant Niroop were the 18 contestants who made a grand entry into the Bigg Boss Tamil house. 

Pavni Reddy, who entered the house as the eighth contestant spoke about how she lost her husband in a vlog that she recorded before coming into Bigg Boss Tamil 5. Pavni lost her husband to suicide in merely four years after their marriage in 2013. Her husband Pradeep was also a popular serial actor. Pavni said that she was devastated after her husband's death. She also added that her husband's family fully supported her in the time of crisis. Pavni noted that she's bold and wants to present herself honestly on the show.

The popular actress and model hails from Belgaum, Karnataka. She is a known face on small screen and silver screen across different languages. Pavni started her career as a model and made her Tamil TV debut with the show 'Rettai Vaal Kuruvi' in the role of Vennilla. Following this, she acted in the shows like 'Pasamalar' (as Bharathi), 'EMI-Thavanai Murai Vazhkai' (as Thara) and 'Rasaathi' in the titular role. Her performance in the role of Nandhini in 'Chinna Thambi' got her closer to the audience.
