VERA LEVEL! SUNDAR C'S SUPERHIT MOVIE'S SEQUEL GOES ON FLOORS - IS VADIVELU JOINING THE CAST??

The list also includes 'Thalai Nagaram', directed by Suraj which was released in the year 2006. While Sundar C played the lead role in the action film, Jyothimayi portrayed the female lead. The movie and soundtrack were superhit. Not to mention Comedian Vadivelu's role as 'Naai' Sekar.

Now, after 15 years, Sundar C has teamed up with Director VZ Durai of 'Mugavaree' fame for the sequel of the movie which is titled 'Thalai Nagaram 2'. The film was launched today with a customary pooja ceremony. Sundar C along with the rest of the crew were present. This film will be produced by SM Prabhakaran under the banner Right eye Theaters. The title poster of the film was also released today. The title font was hightlighted in blood red stains while the phrase 'Right is Back' was written at the top.

The rest of the cast members were not announced for this film, but fans are expecting the comeback of Vadivelu as 'Naai Sekar' or a different avatar. The ace-comedian who is set to make his comeback with Suraj's upcoming film, earlier titled based on his character from 'Thalai Nagaram' is now reportedly opting for a title change as the name 'Naai Sekar' has been used for Actor Sathish's upcoming comedy-entertainer. It is unclear whether Vadivelu will act in the sequel for the film. Guess we'll have to wait and watch! 

Sundar C and VZ Durai teamed up to make 'Iruttu' which was released in 2019. The horror-thriller movie performed decently at the box office. Meanwhile Sundar C is awaiting the release of his upcoming horror-comedy film 'Aranmanai 3', the third installment to the successful 'Aranmanai' franchise. The movie which stars Arya, Raashi Khanna, Vivekh, Yogi Babu and many others, will release on 14 October 2021.
