Comedy alone is not his forte. He had also acted as hero and interlaced well-timed dialogue delivery with the same. He was last seen in Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal in an important and crucial role. After a long time, it was announced that he would be a part of Kamal Haasan’s movie ‘Thalaivan Irukkiraan’.
Recently, Vadivelu announced his comeback after four years and said that he would do the movie 'Naai Sekar' directed by Suraj. The title is a reference to Vadivelu’s character from their previous film together, 'Thalai Nagaram', starring Sundar C in the lead released in 2006.
His new project tentatively titled as Production Number 23, under the Lyca Productions banner has created a storm in the Internet. The actor had turned a year older yesterday (September 12) and on this occasion, KPY and Cook With Comali fame Bala on behalf of Behindwoods gifted a portrait of Vaigai Puyal along with his mother to Vadivelu. Instantly, an emotional Vadivelu kissed the portrait of his mother and here’s what he said -
