Simbu was last seen in Sundar C's Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, that featured Megha Akash, Catherine Tresa, Prabhu, Nasser, Ramya Krishnan and others in crucial roles. The actor had then signed on for his next flick, Maanaadu which is directed by Venkat Prabhu.
Produced by Suresh Kamatchi and Deepan Boopathy under the production company V House Productions, the film also features Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead role. While the music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the movie’s cinematography will be handled by N.K Ekambaram and the cuts of the movie will be handled by Praveen KL.
Earlier, the director of the film, Venkat Prabhu had announced that the film was all set to start going on floors in May. But now it has been learnt that the actor is preparing for it in full focus and the slight delay is mainly due to the location hunt that is happening at a brisk pace. The shoot is now all set to begin on June 21st.
Simbu had undergone a huge transformation for this upcoming political film. He had shed 13 kilos and that too in just 37 days. Fans are badly waiting to watch Simbu’s this avatar in his next!
