PONNIYIN SELVAN GETS A NEW TWIST WITH MGR'S ENTRY!

Arvind Swami’s look as the yesteryear matinee icon took the Internet by storm for his uncanny resemblance. Just as this was not enough, yet another team has taken to their social media and released the first single that features an animated MGR in the epic Ponniyin Selvan version.

Yes, you read it right! On MGR’s birthday, a Chennai-based animation studio - Saneeshwar Animations International, has fulfilled the legend’s dream by producing Vandhiyathevan: Ponniyin Selvan Vol 1. After four years of animation work, the team has released a single from the film.

Composed by Ramesh Thamilmani and penned by Madhan Karky, who will also be penning the dialogues for this project, this big-budget project is helmed by Dhavachelvan.

On the other hand, ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam is also currently engaged in the production work of this epic drama ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ which features an ensemble cast Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram, Riyaz Khan amongst others in prominent roles.
